Beics Betws offers bike hire, bike tours, bike service and repair in the village of Betws y Coed, the heart of the Gwydir Forest and the gateway to Snowdonia. Our bikes include Hard tail, full sus and E mountain bikes, also E hybrid bikes, gravel bikes and children's bikes. We cater for individuals’ families and groups Betws y Coed, in the Snowdonia National Park, is the home of the famous Gwydir Mawr/Marin Trail and Penmachno single track bike trails these are challenging ad for experienced riders. For the less experienced we also have mapped rides which cover off road routes through the forest, mountain and moorland. Prices start from £22 for hardtail bikes. Beics Betws also has a hire shop in Llandudno where a fleet of road, hybrid, children's bikes, trailers child seats are stocked. Try and new E Cargo bikes suitable for carrying children or dogs. Our mapped rides cover the coastal area and offer family friendly rides suitable for all ability levels We are open 6 days per week all year (closed Tuesdays). Book on line or call to book. Our hire centre is in Betws y Coed, which is in the heart of the Gwydyr Forest, we can share a wealth of local knowledge to help you get the best from the tracks in the area. ***Routes*** Most visiting bikers come here to ride the Gwydir North or Marin Trail on 24km trail in the forest just north of Betws-y-coed. The start of the Marin Route is four miles North of Betws y Coed, it can be accessed from Betws y Coed by a minor road. Less ambitious riders will enjoy the gentler 10 km ride around Llyn Elsi, a reservoir above the village. We have maps of this route in the shop. In Penmachno, just 4 km's south of Betws-y-coed, there are two routes. One of 19km "Dolen Machno" has long sections of single track with quite a "modern" feel while the 11km Dolen Eryri is a more "old fashioned" cross country loop with great views. Both can be linked together to provide a belting 30km day out. There is a lot more riding in the area, if you need more information call in the shop and we can advise you. For groups we can deliver bikes to the starts of the Marin or Penmachno Routes. There will be a charge for this service.
