Guests at Alma House are offered free fishing on the rivers which adjoin our land. We have five acres of pasture, woods and rewilded land which is bordered by the River Teifi, The River Cych ( which gives the village of Abercych its name, it means the mouth or confluence of the river Cych) and a brook known as the Nant Morw. The Teifi is one of the UK's most productive sea trout rivers and the confluence of the rivers Cych and Teifi creates an excellent environment to fish for them. There's also a good head of wild brown trout and a run of salmon. Seatrout run the river from April and the salmon enter the river at around June when there's a run of grilse. Our waters link up with those of the Teifi Trout Association, you can fish literally miles of water upstream of our property, buy your TTA permit walk down to the river from the cottage and there's a huge variety of water waiting for you to explore. More detail at www.visitpembs.com, the website for our cottage.
